Has anyone tried the Marsee 15 Liter Teardrop bag with the KLR? Magnetic or quick release? I'd imagine a Magnetic tankbag on the KLR tank would be asking for trouble, would it not? -Trevor

I run the Marsee Magnetic on my KLR and have no problems whatsoever. I am not sure of the capacity of my bag, but it is not a small unit. LOTS of room. I like it! The bag has a strap that keeps the bag on the bike during mishaps or very aggressive riding. Under normal conditions, the magnets are fine. Fill ups are simple. Release the quick release buckle, move the bag to the seat, fill up, put bag back and reset quick release buckle. I use the Marsee 15L, great bag. You can see photo's of it on the bike at my website. It did start ripping in the front but I sent it back an it was repaired for free. I did have to pay to ship it out to them. Nothing is ever perfect in life. Jay Phantom Rider Beverly, MA (about 25 miles north of Boston, on the coast) 1985 BMW K100 RS (80,000 miles) 1972 Yamaha CT1 175 (3,000+ miles, currently with some "issues") 2000 Kawasaki KLR 650 (more fun than I probably should be having) Toss me an email to to purchase the soon to be famous KLR valve adjustment VIDEO. Only 24.00, Ah bahgin (MA speak for a great deal). You can see stills from the actual video and all my nutty crazy mods at http://2wheelerjay.tripod.com/jaysworldofinvention/

I was hoping we would have a report from kcuf_oohay_666 about what he found in the top end. Probably hasn't had time to look. I'm inclined to think it's mostly speculation to blame the KACR without hearing from him. My KLR's KACR came out at 79,000 miles and looked good, so I think there may have been other reasons for the chains to break. Allan A14
