I have a KLR with about 2.4k mi. on it. I notice when it is cold and turn off the engine makes a low short squeeky noise. It only happens when it's cold. It sounds like its coming from the engine area. I have not done the valve check yet, but plan to do it and the doohicky this coming week. [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]

Are you sure that it is not "tweety" coming to nest in your muffler? KLR's with even miles as low as yours will develop the tweet. MrMoose A8 (Barbie and Ken special)
