the mysterious "doohickey"

dudes, organizing for my 2nd 6 month trip to south america on my 99 klr. should i install a doohickey? should i also carry any or all of : spare clutch, water pump kit, carb kit, gasket set? help. tom in dallass

Yes, don't leave home without one + a new spring
