got the bike, now i go stir crazy
Bike is here, needs very little, the normal fork boots, IMS footpegs would
be nice, came with new brake pads..will do those this week. Tires are
in ace shape. It has a Supertrapp with 2 discs, sounds pretty nice,
seems to run reasonably (no jet kit or airbox done on it yet). Needs
the LR springs, no rush on those yet though doing them and the boots
seems to make sense. Has the Russel braided lines on it.
I have no gear, didn't get my permit yet, have to reg/insure it.... I
should just hang it from the rafters as a mobile until I'm all set.
Has anyone tried fitting the KLR into a queen sized bed? Trying to
figure out if there would be room for my wife AND the bike or if she
might need a sleeping bag.

Why aren't you riding it yet??
Cause you don't have your permit yet? In Ca, if you have a car
license, and you get pulled over, it's just a ticket for not having
the bike endorsement. (no points, not a moving violation)
Cause its not registered yet? In Ca, if your reg is bad, it's just a
fix it ticket, so you get it, then pay the court $10.
Cause its not insured yet? Call Proggressive on the phone, get
insured cheap, and GO RIDING NOW!!

ps. If the bike is standing up on its side stand, it will only take
up a very small amount of space on your bed. Then you will have lots
more room for you AND your wife. As a bonus, you will also have that
cool device you have been looking for to tie her up to, and to help
you get into all sorts of new positions during whoopie sessions!

Heh, in NJ they impound for no reg, something over $140 fine and maybe by now points/surcharge for insurance even.> > Cause its not registered yet? In Ca, if your reg is bad, it's just a > fix it ticket, so you get it, then pay the court $10.
Progressive won't even insure in NJ, but I've got that covered, easy enough to do on Monday. Oh yeah, uninsured in NJ, if any injury results even if it is just the rider and a tree, you go to jail now, up to 180 days I think and a mandatory of 60 or so. Then there's the six month suspension of license and all the surcharges to the state AND the insurance carrier...a few grand worth. Biggest reason for it being parked, helmet/jacket/gloves are still in the mail. I think the angel in me timed that order juuuust right. -- __ ___ __ / //_(_)__ _http://www.kingsqueak.org _/ /__ / ,< / / _ \/ _ `(_- _ `/ // / -_) _ `/ '_/ /_/|_/_/_//_/\_, /___/\_, /\_,_/\__/\_,_/_/\_\ /___/ /_/GPG KEY finger @...> Cause its not insured yet? If you're in NJ, register with Rider Insurance. They cater to
motorcycles ONLY, and they are great.
I agree with the rest. NJ is a police state.
