My '97 just went kaput on the way home today. Here are the vitals:
1. She started to stall occasionally at stops over the last few days
after she was warmed up.
2. After stalling, the starter seemed to struggle a little before the
engine would start, and it would usually take a few tries.
3. She would not start at all today after stalling. At one point, I
pressed the start button and the starter would not stop. I turned
the ignition off, I hit the kill switch, but she just kept struggling
on until she died out. The battery is not dead, however.
4. This all happened just after I replaced the doohickey.
Did I do something wrong when I put her back together? Could it be
the revenge of the missing doohickey piece that I have yet to find?
Why do bad things always happen to good people?

plastic gas tank?
My local shop soldered my old A1 tank for 20 bucks, and didn't even
make a mess of the paint. It's worth checking around for prices.
