Hrmm, beer and trying to teach my cousins to bike led to a broken
shift ?peg? not lever... I have learned my lesson about trying to
rebend a shift lever with it still on the bike. Just now. Welp...
just throwing it out there... does anyone know what i have to do to
fix it? Will I have to crack the case (i assume I will). Should I
leave everyone alone and take it to a shop... (heh, yeah right.)
Anyway, driving an A13 that just made a trip from NE Alabama to east
TX USa. Everything is rock solid. The tranny, which was a little
tight back when she was new has loosened up a bit. Only have to
reset the balancers once a season. After market exhaust...email me
if you want me to look up what it is and how its doing.. working
fine. Holes in the air box...priceless. Other than that all I can
say is...damn. What happened to the mailing list. I still order
stuff from Fred. Got braided steel back and front just for this
trip. Wasnt as impress as I thought I might be...but still feel
better that if I need them to not break ever ever, then they wont
break. Anyone want to flame me on how stupid I was?

I'm a newbie and can't help you with your specific problem, but as to where the thermostat is: if you don't have the service manual, you can find parts diagrams here: http://www.buykawasaki.com/Default.asp? Follow the prompts to the KLR. It's a little funky but it works. Paul SF, CA 02 KLR650 01 Duc M750D 98 Forester> Could someone HELP me with my KLR650 COOLING problem thank you > Javier.
