So, what's the policy here for people who have an item to sell but
aren't vendors? I bought the rad/res guard from Happy Trails and I
guess the specs on my bike are all out the wrong way. I managed to
get it on, but the right fork would hit it when turned full right.
Plus the right shroud popped out of the grommet from where I had to
kind of force things. After I got it on, I maybe put 5 miles on the
bike to test it, but I didn't like the way the shroud was
distorted.... So I took it off. I doubt HT would give me a refund,
and I don't want to have the thing just laying around...

selling items?
Send it to me, I will pay actual postage.
Dooden
Just say it, or post on eBay. I think the Vendor thing is more to
keep advertising off the list on a daily basis.
Or get a BFH and adjust it to fit. ;-D

coolant temp question
My '01 does the same and I have not seen the gauge rise above this
level in either cool or hot ambient temps so I don't worry about it
any more.
I was concerned at first about the fan comming on when putting around
in low gear but I realized that the fan on my pickup runs all the time :^)

selling items?
I wouldnt tolerate that it didnt fit. Send it back. If they refuse to make
it right I would contest the credit card charge. The more people put up with
"it fits ok, I can make it work" The less vendors try to perfect there items

There isn't one. Basically you post that you have something for sale, where it is, and how much you're asking. I had the HT radiator and reservoir bars. They are good for street use, but they didn't fit perfectly under the shrouds, at least not on my bike either. By that time I had broken off the tabs on my shrouds and had them fastened with zip-ties anyway so I didn't have any problems with the shrouds popping off. In fact the shrouds were very useful, since they gave me a place to zip-tie the shround onto. Worked fine for 16,000mi.> I bought the rad/res guard from Happy Trails and I > guess the specs on my bike are all out the wrong way. Ok, the fair thing would have been to call Tim at Happy-Trails BEFORE you posted this to the list. He would likely have had a fix, or offered your money back. I have bought a bunch of stuff from him, had issues here and there, and I still would recommend Happy-Trails as someone to do business with.
