cheap thermostats (where?)

I fully agree that many people in the USA want to buy the cheapest thing possible, and then wonder why the only jobs left are in the service sector. But the KLR thermostat is $27 even from Ron Ayers, which is just too damn much. In many cases, it's not the dealer's fault, it's just OEM markup. I still go to my dealer from time to time for individual parts, and even bought my KLR piston and rings there since I was having them bore the cylinder. That's enough to keep my face known in case I need them in an emergency, and they've even balanced tires for me for free when I mounted them myself. But to supply the bulk of work that I can do myself, aftermarket is the way to go. Krokko

paint fading, repaint or polish

Post by Jennifer Vandenberg » Wed May 28, 2003 9:59 am

I was wondering if anyone has had any luck getting their klr repainted? I dont really want to do a spray paint job, will more likely go for proffesional, I just dont like the way the paint faded on the side pieces after sitting out side for a couple of weeks while my garage was in use. Also, any ideas on a polish that works wel to remove or buff out the fading? Thanks for all of the help
