As a card carrying member of the Anal Retentives Club, I chose to use it, and continue to use it every time a cover comes off - valve, or left side for the doohickey replacements I've done. I KNOW it's not going to leak, and that's what floats my boat. (Grin) I suppose it could make a mess if you're a spaz. Using a small blob on the flat sealing surface with your middle finger on top, index and ring fingers running along the sides to pull the blob back makes a perfect application. The fingers along the sides pull the excess up and under the middle finger for continued distribution. It's like running caulk along the bottom of your new shower tiles. You don't just blast it in there with a caulking gun, you run a light bead and use your fingertip for the final application. (Or, that's the way it's done if you care what the finished result looks like.) For each valve adjustment, and for the doohickey replacment that had to be "redone" because all I had was a stock lever when I found the broken doohickey collar - shown at the start of the procedure - the Yamabond has peeled right off with absolutely no hassle. In fact, the covers came off easier with the Yamabond than they did originally. And the gasket came away MUCH easier when the left cover was removed the second time for the installation of the Eagle lever... So is somebody saying using the blue permtex RTV looking gasket goo is a bad thing ? I used it on my inner cover when doing the doohicky thing.. orginal gasket was kinda ify being partially separated, so I gave her I nice thin smooth coat of the blue stuff and bolted it on.. No leaks for me. Dooden --- In DSN_klr650@yahoogroups.com, "Mark St.Hilaire, Sr" wrote:

led part no's from ledtronics ?

Post by Lujo Bauer » Mon May 12, 2003 5:46 pm

I'd be wary of replacing the instrument cluster and turn signal bulbs. I've tried three types of LEDs in my instrument cluster, and none of them are bright enough for me to be able to easily read the odometer. Are you sure the high beam is different from the neutral and turn signal? I was sure they were the same. -Lujo Barnaby Robson wrote:
