longevity/ air filter now "backfire" screen

As I removed my air filter last night, a few of the dead bugs, dandilion seeds, and dirt chunks fell off into the intake- but I was able to just blow them out with a little bit of compressed air because I didn't remove the backfire screen. I honestly don't know if the screen is a significant restriction- I think there someone on the list with access to a flowbench, so it would be good to know.
