front fender alternatives?

Actually, with a little grinding a KTM front fender works just fine. You just have to elongate two of the mounting holes. I put a black one on my KLR after stumbling across a web site where a KLR owner had done the same. I emailed him on the model, and his reply was: "Both the Black and Silver fenders were purchased at a local KTM dealer. They were for the 1998-2002 125cc - 520 cc SX and EXC lines of Motocross and Enduro Bikes. They are available through KTM in Orange, Black and Silver. . Looking at the KTM site it appears that something is different about the 2003 fender vs the 1998-2002.
