What are you pros using to seal the joint between the Big Gun can and the header? I think using ATV is so BOGUS and I was wondering if anyone thought of custom trimming some gasket material and then hose clamping it on either side, can you dig?

Good luck finding gasket material that will hold up. I found a 6"x6" sheet at the local heating and plumbing store, its boiler gasket material. I used this to make a gasket when I tried a aftermarket pipe, since the OEM carbon/whatever it is gasket on the OEM muffler did'nt look like it was going to come out without damage to it. Anyhow, even the boiler gasket material did'nt hold up very long on the header pipe, in a couple hundred miles it was pretty much cooked away, thats when the OEM muffler went back on, the aftermarket was just too loud for my tastes. Might just consider getting a spare gasket from the dealer since that compound seems to hold up really well, and give a good seal. Dooden --- In DSN_klr650@yahoogroups.com, "Eric Lewis " wrote:
