I would love to go watch the races, but I would soon tire of the leather and lace wannabes on their Hardly-Ablesons. Bike week is biker week, might as well be fu*king Sturgis redone. And if the leather and saggy teets crowd doesn't runn you off, listen to the idiots from up north bitch about the "watered down" beer you'all have in Florida. My advice go during the week and go only to the speedway to watch the different classes practicing. Is cheap and you can sit anywhere in the grandstands. And be very careful, there are alot of drunken monkeys on two wheels with paper tags flying around the local streets reliving their "born to be wild" days.

WRONG! Daytona Bike Week is about racing and riding. Mark

Sure, so is Sturgis. AMA national half-mile, short track almost every night, hill climbs, vintage half-mile. Still, not more than two percent of the Sturgis crowd ever sets foot on the grounds of a race track during Rally Week. The percentage may be greater in Daytona, but still not more than 10 or 20%, I'd bet. Racing might be why Bike Week is there, but it's no longer what it's about. And I wouldn't call the extended traffic jam "riding". At least there's someplace worth riding once you get to Sturgis.

Awwww, c'mon Jud. They only win if'n we let 'em. If I could spare the time off work I'd go down just to reiterate what "down and dirty" really means. Nothing beats parking a beat up old bag of a dual sport covered in mud next to a line of chrome heavy cruisers and walking into the bar only to shake the mud off of your face onto the shiny leather of all the posers. Besides, for riding, look up the Withlacoochee (I'd be impressed if I spelled that right) Dual Sport Riders headed up by the list's very own Swampy (I think). Last I heard they do a pretty vicious Dual Sport ride in the middle of Bike Week that can eat some DS riders for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and have some left over for a midnight snack. dat brooklyn bum --- In DSN_klr650@yahoogroups.com, "Judson D. THAT'S the spirit!!! Or just pass 'em on the side of road and shoot 'em some nasty list/gang signs since they don't have a chance in hell to catch you. dat brooklyn bum ("I shake my mud at you, sir!!") --- In DSN_klr650@yahoogroups.com, "Judson D. Jones " wrote:
