I'm closing a deal on selling my A14 to a Los Angelite. My bike has had the cannisterectemy. It has 6,000 miles. I've tossed the parts...my bad. Do I need to put out a call to the list for help or will he be able to register this used bike in CA?
Thanks very much,
Kurt

In Northern Calif., we have no vehicle inspections that would trip you up.
At this time I don't think LA inspects bikes either. I don't think that the
fact the A14 has only 6,000 miles on it will matter, as the bike is already
US approved. Good luck.

You may want to check out messages 76858 and 76866 for yet another opinion.
Sounds like mileage under 7500 could be a problem, depending on the county.

I agree that there is no visual or dyno smog inspection for bikes here. I don't think the 7500 miles thing applies to CA-spec bikes. If it *had* a canister, it is probably a California bike and I don't forsee problems. RM>You may want to check out messages 76858 and 76866 for yet another >opinion. gear. I blip the throttle fairly hard. The blip causes the suspension to rise and then compress. When the fork is compressed and begins to rise crack the throttle and ride your wheelie. I am new to wheelies, I have been using this technique for a month on the KLR and it is easy. The KLR is a very forgiving bike to wheelie.
