Watch it. You are beginning to leave the gray area. If a guy is charging with a knife (as a previous post implies), unloading three magazines into a perp will raise questions of excessive force, of course that depends on your accuracy and if the perp did stop being an immediate threat (dead, can't walk, lying on the ground crying, spread out prone). One mag may be deemed acceptable, but after the first reload the acceptability to "the average reasonable person" AKA a juror, begins to go away. Thirty rounds into a perp armed only with a knife, will probably get you into some deep hot water. Swede
