Just got my rear Duro tire, 40.00 I am impressed with the stiffness of it. The side walls are as stiff or stiffer than the K491s i run on my Goldwing, I sure hope the Duro hooks up in the dirt good or at least better than the IRC Gp 110s. I am thinking i might should have bought the Dunlop 606s.... Mexico here i come, well as soon as the other doohicky comes in, Jake has put a rush on my order we leave 1st of Jan sometime, doohicky has us waiting..................... Mike

Can anyone direct me to a pic of these? are these a street tread that y'all are putting on the KLR for longevity? I've seen Duro refernces on some of the tire retail pages but didn't give them much attn... ===== Jeff "My dice hate me!" Miller Gaming to keep War out of RealTime! Watch FireFly! I have the Duro's on my KLR. You can find them at http://www.denniskirk.com, the only online retailer I've found that carries them, although I'm sure there are others. They have pictures of the tires on the website. I buy the Duro Median model. I like these cheap-ass tires, they have pleasant street manners, which is what I need them for most, but they handled themselves OK on the few trails I've ridden, poor in the mud, though. You can get a full set for under $100, which is another nice feature. They seem to wear like iron, though. Dirk A14

I'm on my 2nd set and love them! Dirk's listing gave a URL error because of the "," included in his post. Go to http://www.denniskirk.com/powervendor/d ... detail.asp? serverid=nlStreet&PartNo=540785 and http://www.denniskirk.com/powervendor/d ... detail.asp? serverid=nlStreet&PartNo=540783 First one is for the front tire (21") and the second URL is for the 18" rear. Thanks Dirk, Maybe that's what I'm looking for to replace the Avon Slipsters that I used when they were around. Can't beat the price. Wonder what mileage they'll get, I have Kendas on now and my observations are much like yours. I'm actually thinking of not attending a Dual Sport get together in the Denver area because it would involve a 120 mile round trip on the super slab and the Kendas are no fun at those speeds. Bogdan, who also thinks the Kendas are hard to mount like a girlfriend I had in college

Every Sunday is a 120mi round trip for me to go trail riding, at least. Sometimes 150-200mi, and that's on K760s. Just air them up to the maximum if you want them to last, or run them around 24f 30r for a smoother ride that won't last as long. I agree that they aren't amazing, but I've done 500 (highway) mile days with K270s that were almost as comfortable as 500 mile days on TW21/22 TrailWings (the TW22 is the one with the solid band on the rear). Maybe putting a little more air in them would make a difference? -Lujo [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]

That part number _is_ in the kawasaki P/N format, so I'll bet it is available in Kawi's bowels someplace. Just not to Civies. ===== Jeff "My dice hate me!" Miller Gaming to keep War out of RealTime! Keep us updated, Mike. I'm up for trying something new. I've found the D606 trench masters to be at home in most any off road situation, they also make the KLR feel 25ish lbs lighter offroad, than the stockers. Would like to find something a little quieter, for the road stuff, without giving up too much dirtability. Was actually thinking of trying a set of the IRC's, will look at the Duro. kinda related sidenote: Anyone tried the new Dunlop D208 ZR's on yet? It's between them, the MIchelin Pilot Sports, or the Macadam's...for sport/touring/commuting stuff. Scott A14 "thunderdog" Sorrento, FL [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
