Bunkie, good morning.
Too cold outside to ride? Still hung over from Thanksgiving? Want to
read something? Check out http://www.citybike.com and read Joe
Glydon's article 'Kill the Boy scouts'.
. . ."Boyscouts think they're the best of folk who are altruistic
enough to freely share their wisdom with the reckless and unenlightened
among us."
The saying goes: 'The road to hell is paved with good intentions.'

12 out of 13 men that walked on the moon were boy scouts. What does that mean? I don't know. Blanket statement about a group or organization are generally not 100% accurate. KLR owners are all geniuses> Too cold outside to ride? Still hung over from Thanksgiving? Want to > read something? I don't think Glydon is talking about Boy Scouts, just using the term "boy scouts" to refer to a particular personality type.> accurate. > > KLR owners are all geniuses> > CA Stu A13

Stu
Think you over-reacted to the above article. It's about Boyscouts,
not Boy Scouts. You know the ones, the guys that set there with the
cigarette and the shot of whiskey, looking you dead in the eye
telling you that "you'll get killed on that bike". Those guys. Not
the scouts. Only thing I came away with from the scouts, other than
being an eagle scout, was the "Be Prepared" being part of my life and
the way I live it. That and a mild case of hypothermia from camping
in January and not getting the fires lit because of the pouring rain
and not putting the matches away after first using them before the
rain turned to snow and everyone got cold as hell and the 5 mile
treck out with everything that we had trucked in because the snow got
sooooo deep.
Other than that, those other boyscouts can go ride their poserbikes.

Yes, then there is always the exception to the rule; as all KLR owners know.

12 out of 13 men that walked on the moon were boy scouts. But, do 11 of 12 men that walked on the moon recommend KLR's? What does that mean? I don't know. Was it Orwell that coined the phrase Nattering Nabobs of Negativism? Or Negativity or whatever? Just wondering, kinda bored. Them boyscout fellers are doin better than the oddballs I met yesterday. Snuck into a gated community to visit a friend on a jobsite. Putted around, gazed in wonder at the lack of individual expression, no dogs, kids, toys, trash, cars, nothin. Eerily silent, expensive homes, all the same color, same landscaping. An angry old guy chased me down in his golf cart, told me "You need to leave. Cant'cha read the sign? No Motorcycles Allowed." Then he banged into my tire for emphasis. Chuckled to myself and said OK pop, sorry about that. Truly bizzare. Larry [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
