Any hints on keeping my helmet from steaming up? Ive tried spit, fog/rain X and a few other ideas but Im still looking through a haze. Ive got to lift the visor to clear the thing every time I come to a stop and its real cold at 25 deg while moving 65mph with the visor up.

I usually just keep my faceplate cracked at traffic lights, then close it once I'm moving. A company called "Fog City" makes an adhesive overlay that goes on the inside of your shield, and pretty much prevents the shield from fogging up. You need to put one on a new shield, since you can't remove it for cleaning. Also, you get slight double reflections around car headlights at night. But, they definitely work as advertised in cold or fog. Does anybody know of good double-lens goggles for use with an MX helmet? Scotts No-Fog cloths seem to work okay. You wipe the inside of your shield and it won't fog... for awhile. I have found that I have to re-treat the shield every couple of days. Gino

OH, them things. I picked up a bunch of something similar from Wally World a bunch of months ago for a $1 each. Had them on the clearance rack, something to give you a view out a window with out it fogging up. I've never tried them, yet. I just ride with the shield "cracked" a bit for air flow. Guess I'll be putting one in tonight. millerized

What seems to work for me(cheap!): Clean windshield,rinse off the shield and leave it wet; put a drop or two of dish soap on the inside(and outside,if you want),and rub around with your fingers or a soft cloth until the soap gets foamy. Then dry the shield off with a clean cloth, and buff until the shield is clear. This works very well in cold weather, and reasonably well in warm weather (rain). Bar hand soap works o.k., but liquid hand soap(like Sofsoap) doesn't.

Have you tried ski goggles yet? I use a pair of bolle ski goggles, the same pair I use when I'm carven up some sloppes at Sunshine or Lake Louise, and I haven't had them fog up on me yet. - In DSN_klr650@y..., Devon Jarvis wrote:
