The restaurant finder would be really cool. Then Devon would always know where the nearest diner is. Do any of the cheaper units do the restaurant thing? Karl A14

JOOC how does it get all that and keep it all up-to-date? Roadmaps don't change that drastically from year to year, but I read somewhere 80% of all restaurants go out of business in 2 years. Would need to have access to one helluva database somewhere to keep all that info even remotely current, it would seem.

But I bet more than half of that 80% reopen as another restaurant, so at least you would something to eat. Karl

I just bought a 76S brand new on e-bay for $380, they retail for $450. It will accept several software packages, like fishing hotspots, topo, bluewater, metroguide, detailed road maps ect. The S stands for sensor, which is a real barometer, altimeter, and an electronic compass which works sitting still. Also has the solunar tables, among other features. I use this same unit for hiking, hunting, fishing, motorcycle riding, driving a car, flying an ultralight aircraft, all these everyday hobbies. very useful!

I know of one locally that re-opened as a dog boarding kennel. However you might get fed there if you insist and aren't real choosy
