Studs have long since been outlawed in MN because of the
damage they do to the road surface. That means the highway
department has arrogated to itself the right to tear up the
highways through the excessive use of salt, which has the
added advantage of prematurely corroding our bodywork, too, a
little bonus for the auto industry.
