I read on a tire seller's web page that the D606 was discontinued. I thought it was a new model. Does anyone out there know the true story? Thanks. M

Dunlop D606 Hello Riders! Does/did somebody have this tire on his/her KLR-650 rear wheel?  Can you, please, comment on it?  Thank you! Cheers,                                 istvan+Eh13

I've ridden over 5000 miles on a set of Dunlop D606 Dual Sport tires. I ride about 90% on-road, and the rear needs to be replaced soon. The only reason I wouldn't get them again would be to try something else for comparison. Chris

Glad to hear that you got at least 5k out of the 606. I just put a set on and also do allot of road riding (commuting) but wanted the knobbbie for some upcoming trips. I miss the smooth ride of the 80- 20 tires that I replaced. I agree that the next set will be something different just for comparison sake. Bryce a16

rattle, fix ??

Post by king9004@aol.com » Thu Oct 17, 2002 8:06 am

This just happened to one of my Rebels. What sounded like pre ignition or bad rockers turn out to be a broken loose inter wall exhaust pipe, 1.5 "from where it comes out of the head. only rattled when engine was warm. It was on the top end well almost. It made less noise when you put pressure on the exhaust pipe. I got it welded now everything is OK. Jim Wilson in TN. A12
