glad to be back nklr

Post by klx95rider » Mon Oct 14, 2002 7:36 am

Only been back on 24 hours now, not all in a row . I am glad to see some familiar folks and it's great to see so many new names as well. After almost 6 months off list, I had to get back as soon as possible. This is the best resource for my KLX and my sanity. Thanks for keeping me semi-normal, and keeeping the old KLX in top shape. Great to be back, Marshall in Shreveport, La '95 KLXC3 "Blackhorse"

brake lever stay

Post by dooden » Mon Oct 14, 2002 8:06 am

Nobody has a bike laying around thats dead, and willing to sell a "stay" off of ? Jake you by chance mill these little guys outta Aluminum ? If your up to the challange I could send ya my broken one for a pattern. ;-) http://www.dual-star.com/index2/Brand/K ... 50%20Brake% 20Bracket.htm Them things. KHI has a real dud there, riding bikes since I was knee high to a grasshopper and never broke anything so simple, after many many crashes, nosedives, flip overs, fall overs, and any other abuses I have done to various bikes. For crying out loud, I hit a "stick" in a trail and broke this one.. 1"~1 1/2" diameter maybe ?, did'nt even feel the impact, I heard it snap, then there was nothing under my toes to brake with. Got up this morning and there was a nice heavy frost on the ground, and calling for snow by weekend. Really wanted to get some riding in before that hit, but sometimes things happen I reckon. Anyhow gotta go put a roof on a small log cabin. Laters Dooden
