tire thickness

Post by rcdyck » Sun Oct 06, 2002 6:50 pm

Anybody know thick stock tires are. Still like new almost no wear on them. Cause real soon I'm going to have to put studs in my tires,we had are first snow storm of the year yesterday. And was wondering if I cut the heads off will that be sufficient for packed snow and some ice? And also is it ok to install and remove them with out to much damage to the tires?(ones with the heads on) I ask this one because about 15min East from here is a very larg lake other fellows go to practice there ice racing.

This got me thinking, so I just went out and checked the strength in my '03. Minus 35 from the factory. I don't think I'll need it any colder. Steve
