scottoil alternatives
What really gets me thinkin' is that I've heard several reports (one I've
seen with my own eyes) of people really not doing much chain maintenance at
all and having no problems. The occasional WD-40 and that's it. Maybe I'm
just worrying about nothing.
Thanks for the Loobman tip... I'm looking into that.

changing tires.. tire irons
Attending the COG Nat'l rally in Montrose CO last July I realized I
had seriously overestimated my tire life on the Concours..
Well having decided on tires at the local K dealer they told me that
they wouldn't fit the bike.. The liability fears have driven a dealer
like this to refuse to install a tire that is not the EXACT size OEM.
They were both only one size wider than OEM. No big deal. The parts
guy was embarrased but little he could do about the shop policy.
The point is I bought tire irons, MSR ones with a plastic handle that
worked like a dream, Yamaha tire mouting lube and did both tires in
the motel lot and it was hot, 97 deg F.
We used another bikes sidestand to break the bead.
I would recommend these tar irons and a cooler day.
