nklr: tires for the klr to replace the best 50/50

Post by midnight_rider1960 » Sun Sep 29, 2002 6:12 pm

Hi Folks, I know a lot of folk here spend a lot of dirt time or street time. I found the Pirelli MT-70's to be about the best a rider could ask for in the 50/50 category. Has anyone located a true replacement for this lost tire? midnight_rider [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]

Check out the Continental Twinduro TKC-80s. Metzeler Sahara 3 Enduros are good, too. __Arden

Try the Maxxis M6006. They are a good price and I feel are under rated. I just came back from a serious off-road ride. The M6006 seemed to have dug as well as the Kenda K760 Trackmaster II's the other guys where using but seem to last much longer and ride better on the street. They have an interesting trianglar tread design that seems to force mud out quite well. Bryan K A14 --- In DSN_klr650@y..., "midnight_rider1960" wrote:

http://groups.yahoo.com/group/DSN_klr650/files/Mods/klr650-a15.jpg The voltage is fine with the stock stator and VR (+12,7 volts) over 3000RPM with the aux. lights ON and High Beam. Under 3000 rpm, it's about 10 volts (if I remember). My aux. lights are 55 watts each. St phane Fontaine A15 http://www.geocities.com/stfontaine_a15
