Hello, I am wanting to upgrade my induction this winter, yes I live in
Canada. I'm still riding but the chill is in the air already.
October is usually about it for me, tires just don't like being cold.
My freinds want me to ice race the 600 with them but I don't like the
cold either. Ok back to the carb question, I rejetted the stock carb
and opened up the air box and did the Strapp exh. I have the power to
keep up with my buddies Dr's and WR's but the hit just isn't there.
Keeping up is the operative term here. We all blast off then I catch
up. I know you can't get a silk purse from a sow's ear and a WR400 my
KLR600 is not but I can come close. A flat slide 38 or a pumper carb
of some kind should give me a bit more hit. Any suggestions or
experiances you guys can offer will be great. Robert

I'm not sure if you can get that much "hit" from just a carb change, might want to look into wilder cam and port job. Of course than you'll need higher compression and big bore, then maybe a turbo or blower, nitros maybe? Lord where does it end?Nitromethane? Nah. Just kidding. Have you looked at, or has anyone tried the carb White Brother's offers? If so how did it work with a stocker except for aftermarket pipe, Or was that what Robert originally asked? I'm confused. Dave

No. Buy a flywheel puller. Then loan it to me so I can change mine. Dave

Couldn't see much of it past the flywheel but adjusted the mechanism and
it appeared to be working. It came from about 3 / 4 back to about 1 / 3
in adjustment. The bike has 23, 000 miles. Any advice as how to really
see the doohickey without pulling the flywheel.
