I've noticed that I'm starting to get a clicking noise on the right side of the engine when I pull in the clutch. It is definitely modulated by RPM, and goes away when I let the clutch out (sitting at idle in neutral). Any ideas on what this noise is?

By pulling the clutch you mean disengaged right? Maybe it could be the release bearing going on you? grease
What about synthetic grease? I've been using a full synthetic grease, forget
the brand..gold can..got it at PepBoys.. but it's dark gray smells nice and
greasy, like a grease should. and best of all it doesn't melt in the can
while stored in the 100+ degree interior of my car.
