concerns about maw

Post by Scott Adams » Wed Aug 28, 2002 1:44 pm

As a long time customer of MAW, I am concerned about the following report. I would encourage MAW to resolve these issues and assure their buying public of their concerns for customer service. I am especially concernced, that if it is true, that MAW has notified the BBB that they no longer wish to respond to nor hear about any complaints a consumer has about them. Begin forwarded report taken of your local BBB web page: BBB of the Pikes Region, Inc. 25 North Wahsatch Colorado Springs, CO 80903 BBB Reliability Report Motorcycle Accessory Warehouse 3620 Jeannine Dr Colorado Springs, CO 80917 General Information Original Business Start Date: August 1992 Phone Number: (719) 520-9000 Type-of-Business Classification: MOTORCYCLES SALES & SERVICE The information in this report has either been provided by the company, or has been compiled by the Bureau from other sources. Customer Experience The company specializes in mail order accessories for motorcycles. The company has an unsatisfactory file rating due to a pattern of complaints that allege the wrong item was sent, and consumers must pay the freight fee to return the item. Additionally, the company has been non-responsive to one or more complaints brought to their attention by the Bureau. As of July 6, 2001 Motorcycle Accessory Warehouse has requested that the Better Business Bureau no longer forward complaint correspondence to their company. As a matter of policy, the Better Business Bureau does not endorse any product, service or company. BBB reports generally cover a three year reporting period, and are provided solely to assist you in exercising your own best judgment. I sent my email to MAW and CC'd the list. I would encourage others to do likewise (or at least to MAW, maybe not to the list). -Scott
