If you are unsuccessful in finding a used/cheap controller, buy instead the $57 (plus S&H) "Heat-Troller" from Aerostitch; I think Widder also carries this item. The selling point for the Heat- Troller is that it is electronic, and does not use resisters to decrease current through the vest; therefore, at less than max setting, the draw off your battery is proportionately less. I don't have one, just reading from the Aerostitch catalog... Subject: Tweety is Dead! No more witty comments from my buddy who rides a Kawi Mean Streak about how my bike sounds like an air compressor! He's a funny guy..NOT! Thanks to whoever originally posted the "chisel fix" and to all who attempted it prior to my doing it. I was hesitant to start hammering, but couldn't stand the little birdy anymore. So I figured, worst I could do is ruin the exhaust and have to buy a new can, which was my other option anyway. So, I got out a large flat head screwdriver, hammer, and flashlight and proceeded to tap away. Initial results were disappointing as my first attempt didn't quite kill tweety, only slightly injured him. So, back in I went, took the split as far up the seam as I could get, then widened it as much as I could and voila, Tweety went on to a better place. I haven't noticed it being much louder than it was before, but it certainly sounds better. That tweety sound should be reserved for old VW Bugs and Ghias I figure... Thanks Again! Look under the GS models for wide variety of dual setups. I can't tell from their website if they're still the US dealer for Touratech, but they used to be... Just looked at the Touratech site and the new US distributor is CycoActive! YEAY! Contact them, I hear their customer service is fanastic. Another option might be the dual headlight setup off the Warrior ATV. Hi David, apparently Tammy has had good luck with doing just that. Check out her webpage of it at: http://www.agwgo.com/klr650/main/mod.ph ... age_id=128 She's pretty cool; Email her and you'll get a usually quick, and always friendly response.
