Hey Dave,
Life'll be alot easier if you go ahead & get the happy trails Givi adapter,
or stock Givi adapter. With one of these, you'll be able to pop the box on &
off in a few seconds.
The Happy Trails version keeps the little tool kit accessible, & pushes the
box back a few inches, for more space in two up riding. All best. -Scott

mounting givi to stock rack
I've got an "excess" Givi mounting plate... which bolts to the stock rack
and then enables quick keyed removal of the Givi case... (sometimes too
easy.... since my top box popped off during a ride.... and even with my
"papers" inside... was Not returned! bummer.... but now I have a "useless"
mounting bracket.)
Cheers...
