alcan boy ships out tonight!

Post by guymanbro@excite.com » Fri Aug 09, 2002 12:25 pm

A big-assed hearty ho-ho thank you to everyone who donated, loaned, discounted or otherwise helped me out of a very depressing situation. I owe this race to everyone involved and to those who weren't interested or couldn'thelp out, thank you for tolerating the list pledge drive. I am amazed, awed, and humbled by the generosity of the good people of KLRdom. I can'tthank you enough for giving me a shot to represent our fine steed in the Alcan 5000. I will be posting more in depth after my return. For now, THANK YOU ALL ONCE AGAIN!!!! Hope to see on (or off) the road sometime, Tumu Rock aka dat brooklyn bum ------------------------------------------------ Join Excite! - http://www.excite.com The most personalized portal on the Web!

As a non riding friend once told me before a race...."Go for whatcha know, man." Remember that as clearly as if it were yesterday. It was my first supercross, & I crashed Big time, taking a chance on clearing a big tabletop, that wouldn't have actually gained me much, position wise. If clearing that jump that nobody else is trying (whatever your jump that nobody else is trying, ends up being) doesn't gain you a position or two, don't do it...save it for the end. I know that the motorcycle gods will do as they see fit but.....Finish, dammit! All best bud. -Scott In a message dated 8/9/02 1:25:37 PM Eastern Daylight Time, guymanbro@... writes: << A big-assed hearty ho-ho thank you to everyone who donated, loaned, discounted or otherwise helped me out of a very depressing situation. I searched the archives and it looks like I need an O ring and maybe a collar. However, I couldn't find any reference to getting the collar off. If there is a thread on this can someone give me the subject title or maybe an e-mail address to serach. I'm off to the dealer to order parts. Thanks, Dean A6 (wishing I had bought a newer bike)
