dual-star luggage racks

Post by btlynx » Mon Aug 05, 2002 3:06 pm

just got my dual-star luggage racks with optional tool box they look really good although i have a prob they dont ship with instructions on how to fit them. they are pretty straight forward on how they fit etc but they mount to the lower rear subframe bolt. dual-star ships them will all the replacement bolts but i have four bolts im unsure of there are two spaced bolts identical which im assuming are replacements for the hex head bolts of the rear rack. then there are two bolts the same although one slightly shorter. these seem to be the subframe bolts the left side subframe bolt has a washer/spacer on it is this to be still used on the longer bolt? or do i put the shorter bolt in the left side and leave out the washer?. hoping mike was gonna call but i figured id give the group a shot if anyone is using the dual-star racks. thanks paul A16

gas leakage @ cap

Post by wwholmaniii@netscape.net » Tue Aug 06, 2002 4:33 am

Has anyone out there had or have a problem with gas leakage at cap? I have checked all the seals, and they appear OK. I have only had the bike for a short while, but the leaking gas has to stop. I believe it may have something to do with the 2 lines at back of tank, going to box at rear fender. I would guess that this means my bike is "californized"?? Any help would be appreciated..........Bill A2 __________________________________________________________________ Your favorite stores, helpful shopping tools and great gift ideas.
