I got on the bike last night to go to work
and didn't have a low beam. Rode with the
high beam on, @#$% the cagers.
The headlight was that napa higher than
stock wattage headlight. It was only about
a year old with @4500 miles on it.
Is this the normal life spam for a headlight?
Secondly, does anyone have the part # for
the Napa headlight handy? Haven't found it yet in the
archives and don't know if it will be on the old one.

headlight life spam
Criag-
Check the headlight mount, several folks have had the spot weld fail
and this would could lead to greater vibrations reaching the bulb. Also
check the headlight socket as that might have melted from the excess
wattage. If you haven't already, consider running some fat wires
directly off the battery to the headlight.
