foot peg tits

Post by jeff1216insc » Mon Jul 29, 2002 6:52 am

Or whatever they are called....lol There is a threaded hole under each foot peg on the KLR to screw them in......where can I get them? I did 1380 miles in the North GA mountains this weekend.......I can tell you....if you ride agressive in the twisties...you can drag a peg in the corners.....when you touch a peg, that is a little low for my taste.....where can I pick up a set of road feelers...I just want to be able to feel when it touch a little sooner.....I wore the rubber covering off the end of both foot pegs this weekend. Thanx in advance Jeff

"Hero bolts"?

[...] Get them from a road bike of some kind. I used some well-worn ones from my Honda CBX750FE and they screwed straight in. Visit your favourite wrecker with a 10mm ring spanner or a vice-grip and it should not take long to find something useful. The vice-grips comes in handy if you want some pre-scraped hero bolts and the hex is worn off. Mister_T Melbourne Australia

Mine is. After 80,000km it was still shifting fine (the last time I rode the bike, at least). Mister_T Melbourne Australia
