Does anyone make an oil pressure guage for the KLR? I don't know if it would have given enough warning to help, but it would add an interesting gizmo to the instrument cluster. Pat tyler, tx> got me one of them new diesels by the sounds of it.

Someone had asked that once before. One possibility is that there is
very little oil pressure involved in the klr. It's all ball and
roller bearings, with very few (at least under high "pressure")
shim/babbit bearing surfaces. I just reinforced as I tore my motor
apart last night. Very few surfaces that are oiled under pressure.
Most are splash or submersion. I would have loved an "idiot" light,
as it would have saved me a bunch of money.
