I just got my car insurance rate for my move to TN. My Miata will cost $325 a month with somewhat rediculously high coverages. I'd not imagine paying more for a $3,500 bike than a car.> Thank you, everyone. I'm definitly going to call around. I am surprised that USAA gave me such a high quote considering > that they have consistantly been the least expensive insurence I have > ever had. I guess they can't give out super deals on everything.

reasonable? This is my first street bike so I don't know what it
should cost to insure but I have always read that the KLR was pretty
inexpensive. This new bike is going to cost me more than my truck.
BTW, I am 30, married, and have a clean driving record. Should I shop
around? >>
There's a good article in the lastest issue of the AMA mag on motorcycle
insurance, and why rates rise/drop. Good stuff. -Scott

I just got a policy yesterday with progressive for 240 for the year.
age 41, married, a16, 250 deduct. 100/300 no passenger. shop around,
gieco was 390/yr, metlife was 1300/yr. Find a local broker that only
deals with bike insurance, they know how to shop around.
