should i be upset, i still am a little nklr
I paid $90 for overnight shipping, was told the items were IN STOCK,
and would be shipped TODAY (thursday) and would arrive Friday. I
just don't think I should have to pay for a service that was not
provided, I wrote Tim a note stating what I thought and that I think
he should either charge me for second day shipping only or split the
overnight shipping charge with me ($45) which ever worked out better
for HIM not me. I think that is fair, paying the saturday charge was
also to make up for his mistake which is also fair.
I ship out stuff all day along with taking care of customers and
programming computers, when I make a mistake I do my best to make the
customer happy, charging me for overnight shipping on an item that
took two days to get here (regardless of when it was shipped, yes I
called him and changed my mind but he addmitted they simply forgot to
ship it, it had nothing to do with my call) is not right.
I have been extremely patient with Tim and all of the employees of
happy trails only because of the fact that so many people speak so
highly of them. Otherwise I would have been hell on wheels
I'll be happy when I get a smaller shipping charge, and my case.

I'm with you Trev. I'm real big on customer service and will go the
distance to make sure the buyer is happy.
In this case, I would have said "OK, so I won't have it for this
weekend, no big deal. Send it FedEx Ground (slow & cheaper than UPS
Ground) for FREE".
That way, you're comped for your inconvenience and Tim gets off easy.

You can get upset if you want to, but thats only punishing yourself for
something you had no control over.
The same kind of thing happened to me, I had ordered some NFL clothing
from the internet, and had asked to have it shipped to me the same day,
(I wanted it for a party) .. anyhooo, next day and nothing, then the
next day and still nothing. So I rang the people up that I had ordered
it from and cancelled my order. The lady explains, its too late to stop
the shipment, as it left the warehouse the day before, we are very
sorry, what can we do to make it up to you ?. Well number one you can
take off the extra shipping, something like an extra $19 for next day
delivery, and really you should pay for all the shipping, "I said" ...
She agreed and took off all shipping costs plus 20% of my colthing bill.
I now wish I had ordered more stuff
It pays to complain when you have been wronged, so lon as you do it the
right way.

All listers should be aware of a quick way to
forward yourself through the list:
1. Click somewhere on the list (this may or may
not be necessary depending on your computer's
settings). Clicking on the list means the same
area you are reading now.
2. Hit the space bar.
By using this method you forward one page at a
time rather than one line at a time by using the
down arrow.
I've been laughing about some listers who seemed
to be gnashing their teeth to get through the
"spam". This works for me.
