A friend of mine who rides croch rockets sent me below comments - is
this, or something similar achievable on the KLR. I will be changing
the stock filter to K&N, so with the filter change and "desnorkling",
would it need rejetting ? Any desnorkling experts out there ??

Basically, you take the 'snorkels' (air collector vents) off. It's
not possible on all bikes, but ones where the air is taken into the
airbox (when under the tank) from two 'vents' right by the triple
clamp...what you end up with is a poor mans RAM Air system. You will
need to change/clean your air filter more often though.

deals gap anyone?
I'll keep an eye out for ya. I live and work in the area (Pigeon Forge, Sevierville, Gatlinburg) and ride an A16. If you happen to be crusin' the "Parkway" though PF some evening, stop by the Louise Mandrell Theater and check out our show. I've been one of her Audio Techs for about 14 years now. Look for the KLR parked on the loading dock. Good burger joint (emphasis on "joint") across the street from us...Alf's. They serve beer too!>Dan Pauley writes: > >Headed to Deals Gap and general romping around >the smokies.
