klr mufflers

Does anyone have an opinion on whether popping a wheelie every once in a while is really detrimental to the KLR650's clutch/ chain/engine/ect? Sometimes I get going about 5-7 mph and just gun it and the wheel comes up quite easily. Just curious as to whether this could lead to any long term problems. Not any worse than jumping ditches and so on..... Any hard usage will cause faster wear of parts, it's just as simple as that.

I think 1/2 block long wheelies are OK as long as the little kids are watching, Now the block long wheelies are not easy on the motor, Mike

I am only an occasional reader of this group but, has there ever been any consensus reached as to what exhaust is really most suited for the KLR650? From the last few posts it looks like, as much as the stock exhaust is a shameful piece of engineering, it is still the best thing you can have attached to this cylinder head! BTW, are you guys as well having problems opening this page http://www.listquest.com/lq/search.html?ln=klr650> or do I have something wrong in the address?. Lumir
