Conall, well, that's what I've been "told". It remains to be seen what the bike looks like and what shape it is "in person" and up close. I haven't ridden one of these, but I've seen them form time to time and they are impressive bike. thanks, Manjo

Most of the hard spots are technical climbs that a mountain biker can bypass by carrying his bike. It is a little difficult carrying your KLR on your back so for these areas I would say that it is best to not attempt them. Some harder spots here do have easier ways around but some don't. Most of the hard spots for mountain bikes here are usually deep sand and this is easy on a dirt bike. There are many miles of great scenery and easy roads, so don't let the pictures of those Jeeps on two wheels scare you from enjoying some of the best riding on the planet. Search out the White Rim Trail or road for the Premere dual sport ride in our area. There are many photos of the area on the Canyonlands Motor Classic web site.
