I purchased a Tourmaster Rainsuit for MAW. I ordered the size larger
than I normally take, it barley fits. I called to return the item and
was told that they have a policy that there is a $7.50 to $50.00
restocking fee for returning the item, plus, you pay shipping and
handling on the new item they send out. I WAS a customer of theirs
for over 20 years. I would recommend that you shop somewhere else.

It just took me 15 seconds to read the following on their website:
"Should you order an incorrect item that is not a closeout item, you may
exchange it. The new item must be at least half the value of the original
item and there is a $7.50 exchange fee plus the shipping and handling on the
new item. If you want to return an item and not reorder there is a 10%
restocking fee not to exceed $50.00 (minimum $7.50). All returned/exchanged
items must be in new and unused condition with all original packaging
material. Items must be sent back within 30 days of receipt to our Colorado
Springs Warehouse at 3620 Jeannine Drive, Colorado Springs, CO 80917. "
It appears to me that if you wanted to exchange the suit for the right size
it would be $7.50 plus shipping on the new item.
Don't get me wrong, I am not a huge MAW fan, but the rules were there and
very obvious when you ordered and you chose to play by them. Why should
they have to eat the time and cost of exchanging something that you ordered
the wrong size on?

John - sent to list because your yahoo email keeps bouncing:
John - I know what you mean, but if they sent you what you ordered and it
didnt fit it was the wrong size. As someone else on the list pointed out,
apparel is almost impossible to buy mail order.
Now (and the attorney in me comes to your defense...), they have a sizing
chart. If what they sent you as an XXL does not conform to what their
sizing chart says it should then they have misrepresented their product and
not only should they take it back without charge but it could also be a
violation of the consumer protection laws of your state and you could get $
on top of the return. In Ohio and Oregon (where I am licensed) it likely
would be! Obviously I am not suggesting this, as that would give lawyers a bad name....but laying out possibilities.
For me - I buy mail order parts, tires, and junk but rarely apparel or
helmets unless I have had a chance to try on the right size somewhere else
first.
Good luck! - Scott

Yep. I had the same problem, which drove me absolutely nuts. CA Stu was nice enough to post the procedure to this site. Go to "FILES->CARBURETOR->STALLING IN THE RAIN MOD". I did it with 1/4" ID (3/8" OD) hose and a T-fitting to match. Now all I'm waiting for is a rainy day. "Mokan"> someone please post procedures! > > Randy > 2KKLR
