I heard Kurt and old time lister Jim Walker were secretly married by Reverend Chuck and they are all now happily living down in the Bahamas. (kind of gives a new meaning to dual sporting) Fred :-/

Their website is http://www.highland.se But the weight of 315lbs is a myth. The website lists the weight at 165kg which is closer to 365lbs... Still looks nice. dat brooklyn bum

i seen on some website that it weighs 316 lbs. the guy i met at the show said 315lbs. it diddn't look like it would weigh as much as a klr it looked like they really engineered the bike to be pretty light, the engine looked pretty trick and the bike was beatifull i don't know if it is worth $11,999.00 though . but people pay $7000.00+ for a ktm lc4 and they have half the power as the highland. being a v-twin it should be alot smoother also. it's like a works dualsport, like something you would build if money wasn't top priority and performance was.

pump you up!

Post by William Valerio » Wed Feb 27, 2002 6:13 pm

I've mountain biked for about 6 years now. When I go to remote places I carry C02 and a small mountain bike pump as a backup. I do the same on the KLR. A little redundancy in remote areas won't hurt. The C02 is more reliable in my humble opinion. Mountain bike pumps break. If you do get the C02, buy the type inflator that uses the same size cartridge as your average bb gun. (Available at most bike shops.) Larger cartridges found at bike shops are sometimes as much as $8 a set. You can buy 25 of the bb size cartridges at Wal-Mart for about $12. It takes 2 of the bb cartridges to fill a 26 X 2.10 mountain bike tire with 60 psi. I'm assuming it will take four or five to do a motorcycle tire. They're light, tough, don't take up much space and are much quicker.
