Does anyone know what causes the stock exhaust to whistle at idle? And how to fix it? Also looking for used aftermarket exhaust.

Check the archives for the word "tweety". You should com up with a lot of references. At one time someone on the list was considering fixing tweety mufflers as a side business. I am not sure what happened with that. I think Bogdan fixed his himself. Bogdan, can everyone ship their mufflers to you for repair? (Ha Ha) Brad North Carolina

The government has collected "all" after market pipes, cut them in half and welded the ends shut. They were too loud. Congress couldn't get any sleep! ;-) Greg in Dallas

Shipping them to me is one thing getting them back is another. I must reiterate that the Tweety cure is Elden's idea that I merely acted on and then drew up. I'll send it to anyone who has a computer macho enough to take the hit. Three posts 360k, 340k and 520k plus a 3k intro. Death to Tweety, Bogdan

It is very normal for the KLR 650. You basically have three options as I understand the situation : 1. Buy an aftermarket exhaust system. 2. Cut your stock system apart to 'fix the tweet'. ( fellow lister Bogdan Swider had some detailed instructions on this repair I think) 3. Ignore it. Let it Tweet! Cheers, Steve A11 - no Tweet yet !

There's an on going fray between anti-access groups and USA-ALL for awesome back country in Utah that happens to be popular amongst those of us who choose to enjoy it by mechanical conveyance. Last go 'round, USA-ALL won in court to stop land closure. This monument proposal is the attempt to make another run at it from another angle. The major point of contention by USA-ALL is the method by which the land would be redesignated (potentially illegal).
