tall windshield for a tall rider???
Dear List,
I am 6'3 tall with out riding boots and I am looking
for a taller windshield. I have held out for awhile
because I didn't want a dorky looking taller
windshield but my work commute is now 25 minutes on
the highway at 70mph and it is a little loud. I ride
pretty much on roads all the time (I live in
Massachusetts). Any help would be great.

Try earplugs. I don't usually don't use a windscreen because the turbulance
shakes my head about so that I see double. Tried the Kaw tall screen. It
was only worse.

f650 vs. klr650
If you read any of the dirtbike magazines, they'll tell you that KLR650s are too
big and heavy for the dirt. I was checking out a P-D F650 at a dealer a month
back, and I have to say it's a solid, well-built bike. A low-tuned rotax is as
bulletproof as you are going to get.
It needs a real bash plate, and it needs something like the happy-trails
radiator and reservior guards. Besides that, as long as you can accept cosmetic
damge you could definitely take that bike offroad. The main obstacle is I could
buy two KLR650s for the same price.
