iowa klr650 rider needs dual sport riding partners!

Post by klr650jon » Thu Jan 17, 2002 6:03 pm

Hello, In August 2001 I bought a 2001 KLR650 - first time I had ever seen one and first time I had been on a motorcycle in 15 years. I love it, but do not know any other klr or dual sport riders. If any of you are located around north central Iowa and would like to ride or take a trip, let me know. Thanks.

transamerica trail on a klr??

There have been no KLRs stop in here doing the TAT that I know of. I think the biggest problem Russell Fisher had on his trip across this trail was the mud in Oregon. We don't have much mud here, just rocks and sand. The loop we did during the old Utah Get-Togethers that went up over the Lasals, is now part of the TAT. The TAT used to go south of Moab but went into an area that was more difficult than the new trail over the Lasals and into Moab. It would be the trip of a lifetime and I would highly recommend the attempt. Fred http://www.arrowheadmotorsports.com ***NEW*** http://www.canyonlandsmotorclassic.com
