seat)
I promise pictures one day soon

why a klr650?
David,
Here is your public and private email for the list to see, along with my
comments.

Your point? I believe the KLR650 is capable of 14/49. If not it can be close. (See, I have been paying attention.)>My KLX is geared 14/49 so it has an advantage for wheelies that the >much higher geared KLR lacks.
Am sorry. Thought your attention span was long enough to see the link. David, I am interested in only one thing on this list. Is the KLR650 right for me. Your opinion of me, my riding style, Honda motorcycles, or KLX650's is in no way enlightening or informative. Especially now that I know your information is suspect. Why don't you go practice your wheelies on the 285 bypass in Atlanta. Let me know how you did. Oh, be sure to get there around 5 PM. But if you ever get close to where I live now, New Orleans area, give me a call. Taf,you mentioned geocaching, where I'm assuming the process of
finding the "cache" is the important part, the more work to find it :
the more rewarding.I get the feeling you're real close to
your "motorcycle cache". Can't wait to see what's inside when you pop
the lid......cosmo.....by the way if it's a klr, #16 if you don't
bypass the safety switches it's guaranteed to leave you stranded one
day.

You said it with a troll's accent.> >taffrail doesn't seem to understand the concept of a CV carb else #12 > >wasn't worth mentioning. Plenty of sportbikes also use CV carbs. Believe Kawasaki actually lists my stock sprockets as options for the KLR. So not only do they fit, they are supported. But you are too dense to grok the topic was acceleration-as-related-to-CV-carbs. Too dense to understand, "Its just the way Kawasaki chose to tune the carb." Its not that it has a CV carb but the way its tuned. My KLX does not have to meet the EPA standards the KLR has to meet. So my carb can allow the main needle jet to rise faster than might be politically correct for perfect carburation (as opposed to "maximum acceleration").> >My KLX is geared 14/49 so it has an advantage for wheelies that the > >much higher geared KLR lacks. > > Your point? If you quote me, then quote me correctly. The above was my quote not taffrail's. Taffrail's attention span is not long enough to follow the discussion from "Honda has higher resale value" thru "Honda has many first class products (which inflate the values of their 2nd class products as well)" finally into the example of an inflated price Honda product which sucked badly enough for Honda to leave the market.> > > Have noticed Honda is no > > >longer making riding lawn mowers. > > > I have noticed you have wondered far from the topic of which motorcycle, > > which Honda does still make and by all accounts still make well. Am very familiar with the I-285 bypass around Atlanta. and I-75 as well. Is why I say you are a troll, interested more in flames than the motorcycle (which you don't own). Because nothing I wrote had anything to do with wheelies in rush hour traffic. Have added taffrail to my lid list. He/she is now persona non grata. -- David Kelly N4HHE, dkelly@... ===================================================================== The human mind ordinarily operates at only ten percent of its capacity -- the rest is overhead for the operating system.> David, I am interested in only one thing on this list.
