Looks like he's on a KLR250. Maybe he bought the biggun thinking it would fit the KLR250 and is too embarrased to return it. No excuse anyway. I see he lives in Baypoint CA. It used to be called West Pittsburg CA. That town has one of the highest murder rates in Northern Calif., they couldn't improve the image so they just changed the name of the town. Lots of drive-byes. By the way nearby there are some good remote backroads around Mt. Diablo (morgan Territory)which makes for a good ride if anyone is in the area. I think we should show our solaridity and have a group ride soon. Gotta run don't have time to spellcheck. Guys, I am not going to try and quote the many responses here that I (and
the list) received about this situation. I did seek Gino's advice before
making the post for the very reason he stated. We shouldn't be afraid to
buy and sell from/to fellow listers. I have done it many times. I bought
my 2001 KLR 650 from a lister in El Centro. I again want to thank everyone
who responded. Some of them were hilarious and I was LOL. Some of them
were a little scary (Miata Myk, you know who you are) :=) I have a bit
more info than I published and thanks to Ed Snow I now even have a picture
of the guy. I will be in San Francisco on business in February and may get
in touch with some of you for a personal visit to him. :=) I was actually
hoping that he might still be reading the list and see some of the reaction
that I knew would come, and reconsider. Since this is borderline NKLR and I
don't post directly to the list much since I get it in digest form (work and
all you know), I will just say thanks again Mike, Jay, Steve, Tom, Steve,
Joe and Laurie, Russell, Richard, Myk, Pedro, anyone I left out, and
especially Ed Snow. I will get the money or ........

Yeah I have bought and sold throught the list too, one guy shorted me
$5, saying " I had my secretary write the check, sorry, I'll send you
$5" There ya go. I think for the amount of stuff that changes hands
on this list, we're a pretty OK bunch.
In that vein, if you're reading all these negative balancer chain
posts and feeling like you need to unload your KLR, I have $50 for
anyone with a 2001 or newer with less than 500 miles.
