Since he's traveling the far reaches of the continent, I can't be completely accurate, but here's my take with his explanation. The mid pipe on the Gun is a slip fit affair and puts strain on the muffler.(This has now been rectified by Big Gun). All of the strain is put on the front cap, which wasn't secured very well to the rest of the muffler. As he was riding a trail near the Grand Canyon, the front cap broke away, burned his Ortleib bag and melted his side panel to a chunk of nothing. Also, his seat foam caught fire, but was extinguished by his ass(They say it in the Bible, am I OK?). Big Gun apologized for it and are sending him a new pipe, which is really cool. He could explain it better, but that'll never happen. [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
