Mine are fine. I use synthetic muffler grease, along with high-viscosity Spagthorpe-branded blinker-fluid. The Spagthorpe company makes the best motorcycle fluids, but they can't be used in shaft-driven motorcycles since they cannot wheelie, nor can they countersteer. I have always found that the best way to air out my air box was with large quantities of beans. Steve G airbox airing out specialist and bean lover.

I think the problem is the use of the wrong reletive bearing grease

Heheh... this reminds me of my Navy days on the destroyer. (You have to understand there is much training about "shoring" up damaged areas of the ship) After many, many days out to sea we'd find a fresh recruit and have him take a supply order up to the captain to sign, telling him the captain was the only one authorized to order this... 200' of shore line Cap'n always got a good chuckle out of it and we'd get a good one at the red faced recruit once he realized what it was. Jeff I served on submarines and we did the same thing, the new guy would be asked to go to a given compartment and ask for 20 ft of fallopian tube, once there they'd direct the poor guy to another department, eventually he'd be given a vaccum cleaner hose. We once had a quartermaster striker spend several hours looking for the charts for the "Isle of Langerhans" Fred J
