just got a klr

I just purchased a Klr 650, 2001. I am having the time of my life exploring the many miles of forest service roads in Central Pennsylvania. I am looking to put some luggage on it. And I would like to hear some opinions on hard vs. soft, different mounting hardware(I am thinking of both; using soft for local stuff and hard for the long range long range rides) . I am also interested in any other improvements you may think are absolutely necessary. Also any things I shouldn't do, let me learn from your mistakes. Any help appreciated. dirtdog56
